to those who think this film destroys the book, i think mr. sendak would disagree. he loves the film. do you think you know his book better than he does?
to those who think its not for children, i respectfully disagree. maybe it's not for a kid who gets scared when they see the the scary trees in 'snow white' (also a film for children). but for all kids who deal with hurt & anger every day, this is a lovely film of self-discovery. in no way does this film CONDONE violent behavior. it does the opposite. doesnt max leave the wild things? hes growing up! dont you want your child to see a movie where the kid chooses his mom?
wtwta is a lovely piece of artistry. i laughed, cried & pondered what it means to be a good person and a family.

this was such a magical experience for me. HD? WHO CARES?! ITS THE WIZARD OF OZ ON THE BIG SCREEN! i loved every moment of it. it was like i'd never seen it before.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
