This was disappointing. The beautiful children's chorus was interrupted for several minutes by an ad for Dish-TV accompanied by mediocre jazz. Inferior camera work included too much zooming and diving. A seemingly handheld camera shook up and down during one interview. The interviewer (whose name was never posted on the screen) asked inane questions like "Isn't singing at the Met a great experience?" The over-long intermissions were probably dictated by the over-elaborate sets. Both Calaf and Turandot seemed to be struggling at times. Puccini's gorgeous music did shine through, but we can listen to that at home.
