BEAUTIFUL Movie!

There is nothing worse than a period drama that doesn't do justice to the period, either with the story, the clothes, sets and even hairstyles! Though accurately recreating history is often a matter of facts and perspective, this one did everything right and was one of the most beautiful films I've seen in a long time! All the actors are wonderful! Wish they'd make more films like this! If you haven't seen it, treat yourself, I'm going to again!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Despite great animation and terrific voice performances this film was way too dark and the message(s) way too vague. I saw it with my older children, 16 and 24, who thought it OK, but I thought it much too scary and violent for the very young children in the theatre. We would have liked a happier ending with clearer lessons learned but left disappointed.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
