This was the first time I had been to The Metropolitan Opera at the movies. It was a lovely experience.
First off, the music was terrific - mainly because Puccini is my favorite opera composer. Secondly, the singers were fabulous, mostly hitting every note right-on.
Thirdly, I thought it was better than going to see the opera in person because I got to see the facial expressions of the performers.
Fourthly, I really enjoyed seeing all of the backstage goings-on. I had no idea that so very many people worked backstage on the props.
I used this performance to introduce a friend of mine to the opera. She loved it.
And the price is much more in line with her ability to pay.

All in all, a wonderful experience.
