RomCom with a Twist

Set in the background of seemingly non-stop business travel, this is a romanic comedy with an excellent twist in the tail. Boy (Clooney) wants to operate alone. Who will love him? Enter girl (Famiga) who also travels alone as much if not more. They meet cute by comparing credit cards (like the battle scar scene in "Lethal Weapon 4") and it looks as if they've found love. Excellent acting and plotting makes this a movie worth watching twice.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

James Cameron: King of SFX

The movie is magnificent. The story is simple, yet told eloquently with an investment in the hero and heroine and a hatred for the villain (while Cameron makes you understand why he acts so badly). The whole ethos of the movie is a gentle reminder of how we have lost respect for the essentials. It is a moving story that -- like "Wall Street" -- illustrates the negativity of greed and the corruption of those caught up in it.
The 3D effects can really be appreciated for how much they enhance the telling of the tale -- particularly the scenes in the air. They are so much a part of the movie that you want every movie to be like this from now on.
Great idea. Incredible execution. Marvelous movie!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Too Clever; Too Much CGI

While the actors (especially Robert Downey, Jr.) did an excellent job, they were unable to rescue this plot- and CGI-heavy movie. The writers seemed obliged to pay homage to the fictional reputation of Sherlock Holmes by convoluting the plot as much as possible to give him something clever to solve and then having him tell you how he did it. This was interesting once, but when repeated ad nauseum, it left the audience (me) with nothing to do and I quickly grew bored.
The CGI reminded me of "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" and produced a backdrop that was for too clean and thereby, unreal.
A good effort, but way too talky.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
