Wow. Hold on to your seat and prepare for a fun ride as Brad Pitt races against time to save the world from a Zombie invasion like no other. Instead of the slow moving boring undead we are used to seeing in previous flicks, these folks run pretty darn fast. Thankfully, we are spared the blood and gore of lower budget movies in favor of a big budget well made scary thriller. Great effects, especially the scene where the Zombies scale a high wall in Israel. The last third doesn't quite measure up to the rest of the movie on the excitment scale, but still works just the same.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, great effects
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I really enjoyed the first Star Trek reboot a few years ago. As a fan of the original series, I was skeptical at first, but thrilled they pulled it off. Not so with this one however. Despite the actors once again doing a good job of recreating the original characters, this movie is a mess. Worst of all is the scene where they recreate Spocks death scene from The Wrath Of Khan, only reversed. (Spoiler alert) And the Kirk/Spock respect for each other thing is done one too many times. They did everything but make out. Maybe in the next movie, if their is one. If your a simple minded movie fan that only likes video game special effects, you might like this. But Trek fans will know that this film is an early summer turkey. Bummer.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

More disturbing than entertaining. Why does Hollywood keep thinking that making a movie with lots of graphic "shot in the head" scenes will make us say "Wow, that was cool". Perhaps the disturbed members of the human race that actually go out and do this stuff against children and innocent people will enjoy this mindless bloodbath. But true movie fans will see this as only a violent Die Hard ripoff that portrays our military and the security around the White House as incompetent. (And horrible shots) At least Die Hard doesn't pretend to be anything more than an action fantasy. People were actually walking out of the theater during the first 45 minutes of this lousy so called action flick. Don't waste your money.
Pros morgan freeman
Cons too much graphic violence
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I wanted to love this movie, I really did. I for sure was not let down by the casting of Tom Cruise,Alec Baldwin, and Paul Giamatti, who are all great in their roles. But you can't get over the feeling that the filmakers blew a great chance to make a cult classic. What starts out very promising falls flat about two thirds through the film. After that its as if they ran into production problems or the editors were forced to rush the project to meet a deadline. The last 30 minutes is really tough to sit through. The film is way too long and over the top. But on the plus side is the fun 80's music and Tom Cruise as an aging over the hill heavy drinking rock star. Nice try.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A visual stunner. Fans of the Alien movies might be somewhat let down because there is very little of those ugly dudes that gave Ripley all those problems. Instead, Prometheus stands on its own as a major wow factor of a movie. A little slow moving and confusing at times, but worth the price of admission.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Nobody really expected this to be art, did they? What you get is pretty much the same as what you got from the first two films. And thats not a bad thing. Fun and entertaining, with a little bit of stupid thrown in. Will Smith is his usual self, and James Brolin steals the show as the younger Tommy Lee Jones. Speaking of Jones, he has little to do with this movie, and he seems bored in the scenes he does have. Worth the ticket price, but three of these movies is enough.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie is one of those that you want to walk out halfway through, but because you paid admission you wait it out. Once the credits roll, its like being dismissed from traffic school. You can't get to the exist fast enough. A very simple minded, lame, and embarrassing movie that will be in the five dollar rack at Wal-Mart soon enough. Don't let the misleading trailers fool you. Liam Neeson is only in it a few minutes despite being top billed. He should have his name removed from this piece of garbage. One of the worst blockbuster summer movies in years.
Cons bad acting
No, I do not recommend this movie.

All About Nothing

I love Sandra Bullock. She is cute, funny, and oh so sexy. But even the best female film fantasies are hard to watch in really bad movies. Case in point is this unfunny mess that has the crowd wondering what went wrong. The casting was good, and the story had all the makings of a nice date night chick flick. But it seems the person in charge of editing was on some mind altering drug. And judging by all the shakey scenes,it appears the hand held cameraman had to go to the bathroom the whole time. Save your money and rent some other Sandra movie instead. What a shame.
