This movie seemed a bit slow in parts. There is a LOT of exposition in the book this movie is based on, so some of the long-windedness of the film is to be expected. Reading the book, the big shock is the death of a key character, Most people (even those who haven't read the book) know about it, so it really takes a lot of the suspense out of this film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
