The girlfriend begged to see this. It played like a made for TV movie. Not much depth to it. They skimmmed over all the tough 8-mile back story and poured on the sticky-sweet feel good stuff. Consequently, I felt a little robbed. In the end you do feel all gushy and the real photos of Oher and the family during the credits was a nice touch. Stay for them. So, not a theatrical masterpiece, but a nice low-impact, feel good movie for a low-key evening or first date.
