Awesome Experience!

Not having experienced a 3D movie in a theatre before, I had high hopes for "Avatar". This was a great example of what moviemaking is all about. Nearly every frame is a grand painting. James Cameron and everyone that worked on this film is to be commended for expanding the way we will enjoy films from now on.
Having said that, I don't think I would have enjoyed the film as much without all of the bells and whistles the 3D experience provided. There were parts of the story that seemed too convenient or oversimplified, and I didn't fall in love with the characters. I don't think this is a movie I will purchase for home viewing, or watch again. But, it was definitely worth the money and time for one viewing!
