Safe House is a Safe Bet

I went in to this showing with very high hopes of solid entertainment and I was not disappointed. Denzel does not let you down in his excellent performance as he commands the situation he protrays. Ryan Reynolds was a refreshing surprise as a supporting actor and I hope he get all the recognition he deserves for his performance in this action pacted movie. So what if some of the plot was expected (not all of it was by any means), this was a fantastic movie and I would certainly recomend it.

Liam Nilson is always great

There are very few movies I have ever seen that Nilson has failed to bring a story to its fullest. That being said, this movie did not leave you fealing warm and fuzzy! It is a movie that keeps you wanting more and many times not finding it but the fact that you keep expecting it was enough to rate it 4 stars. There was a lot of suspense and times that you could not understand why intellegent men did some of the things they did but then how intellegent are any of us when we are placed in such a horrific situation? I would recommend it.

Inspiring

This movie presented a powerful message and anyone that watched it should have walked away with a renewed evaluation of their faith in their belief in God. Over all the acting was well done but there were large parts where the actors were not very seasoned and a little stiff in their presentation. For this reason I could not give this movie a 5 star rating. There were some fantastic actors in this movie and they carried the others very well. There were times that I had to reach for a tissue because this movie did move me.

Conan was beautiful

Well, I liked this movie. It will not win any Acadamy Awards but it was entertaining and Conan this time looked a lot better than Arnold did in the first one and played the part better also. The 3D started out great then slacked off which was disapointing but it was nothing I could not live with. I was glad I went to see it and so was my husband. We see at least one movie a week and we both agreed it was well worth the time. Not the best but certainly worth the effort to go and see this one.

Best acting I have ever seen of Russell Brand and Helen Mirren should win an award. I laughed during the entire movie and left with a very uplifting feeling you get from seeing a great movie. In comparison to the Dudley Moore version it fell a little flat with Greta Gerwig simply because she just did not have that zip that the other actors delivered. Russell had such versatility in his performance. I have never seen him in a seriouse performance and when his role called for it, he did so with excellence. I loved this film. It is one of the few that I would watch again.

Thought Provoking

I hesitated to give this movie 5 stars but did so because the acting of was excellent and carried the movie. Anthony Hopkins never fails to amaze when it comes to complete the character. I always like movies that actual facts that the the story line is based on. The subject matter was interesting yet left me with questions that I am not sure I wanted to address.

Action better than ever

Denzel and Chris made an excellent pair. I sat on the edge of my seat the entire movie even though the end was predictable. The acting was the best. I would watch it again.

Slow and left me tired

When going to a movie I always try to find a redeeming factor all the way to the finish. This movie left me hanging. If only there could have been something to give me that feeling of "it was worth sitting here", but it never came.
Very discouraging because there were so many build ups that could have been.....

Eat Pray Love

This movie started out cute but cute can last just so long. After sitting for the length of the movie I decided that it just was not worth the time it took to drag out the point it was trying to make.
I was ready to leave a long time before the movie ended but alas, I am one that must see a movie to the end to be sure if it will have salvation but this one just did not.
