I had my doubts. Afraid it would be a mediocre rehash of tired story lines and cliches' I went with as open a mind as possible. So. The casting was remarkable. The blend of physical characteristics with studied nuance came together brilliantly to create the image of the TOS characters in their youth. At first I was dismayed at the inconsistencies in this imaging but then realized what the writers had done. The uncorrected time line shift permitted so much freedom as to constitute an entirely new Star Trek. Re-imagining relationships with the homeless Vulcans, the Klingons, Romulans etc will be a fun trip. AND. Now that Sarek has given Spock his blessing to indulge his human half...well hang on y'all.This is gonna be fun
