I was also disappointed with the movie. It was not cohesive, and the direction was terrible. The only actor to do an exemplary job was Helena Bonham Carter. Everyone else suffered because of the awful direction.
I would recommend for all Harry Potter fans to at least see the movie so you will know how it connects to the next two. If you're not a Harry Potter fan, I don't want you to base your like or dislike of the series based on this movie!
