Huge visuals, weak story

Worth the ticket price to experience the visual effects alone, but I have to admit I was a little dissapointed with the predictabie nature and simplicity of the plot. The aliens smacked way too much of every other mistreated people in hundreds of other movies, and the storyline included strong undertones of the typical industrialized western peoples destroying (another) planet.. parts were even dowright hokey. But for pure entertainment and eye-popping special effects it arguably set a new precedent which will be difficult to follow. Only suggestion is to bring along some eye drops if you see the 3D version; my eyes were blood red at the end.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
