A good friend of mine referred to Julie & Julia as the "best foodie movie ever!" Maybe it is, but it's also just a great movie in and of itself. Meryl is superb in her role, really giving us a feel for Julias' lust for cooking and love for her husband. I managed to talk my BF into going (he's a pretty good cook in his own right) and he enjoyed it as much as I did! Julias' comment over hot cannoli noodles is one of the funniest lines in a movie in a long time!! It (the movie, not the funny line) inspired me to pick up her memoir over the weekend. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
