The movie was fine, OK, kind of immature in it's plot, editing, and casting. The saving grace for this film was the acting talents of Vanessa Redgrave-now THAT'S a movie star through and through. Vanessa's moments in front of the lens were meaningful and touching. She reminded me of how movies used to be...good. No special animations or 3-D gimmicks can replace the beauty she portrayed, for that reason I am glad I went AND that my 18 year old daughter went with me. As for the plot really weak and predictable, the casting could have been better as well-don't see the lead actress and actor really hooking up in real life, and the editing was fair at best. One minute you see Amanda Seyfried barreling down the road in her convertible- you know she's got to have crazy hair when she gets out but NO perfect Juliet hair!!! There are other editing mistakes that the untrained eye can pick up easily making it seem like a pretty low budget film. Anyway, it's cute, good clean fun for most of the family. I wouldn't take a date to it, just a girlfriend.
