I don't typically like rags to riches story where a poor boy from the slums grows up wiser, becomes a millionaire and gets the girl of his dreams. But this story was the exception - it was fantastic.
The theme of morality and its role in survival is sprinkled throughout the story and encapsulated in the character Malaki's willingness to do "whatever" to survive while Jamel seemed reluctant to cross moral boundaries.
