I loved this inspiring, true story and want to go to see Winter myself. Nice storyline, no nudity, no sex, no gore, just a nice heartfelt story. Someone did mess up continuity in that Kris Kristofferson called the grand daughter Haley when her name was Hazel. But, still nice story. the kid actors were really good.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Disappointing

OMG, I can't believe I saw the same movie as all of these glowing comments from others. If I had attended the film thikning it was a drama I might not have been so disappointed. Although there were a few laughs, it was no comedy and instead a tragedy. It was very draggy and long between laughs whereas I expected to laugh all the way through. There was music missing where there should have been something to create the mood. And, there were too many talking heads...words of no consequence to the story line and no action. I wouldn't even recommend anyone to rent this movie. Save your money. VERY disappointing.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

The movie was good, several laughs. Ginnifer Goodwin reminded me of a young Sally Fields. Katie did a great job. the end kind of left me empty. But, overall, not bad. It did keep my interest and pointed out that someimes doing the right thing isn't the best thing to do. It is better to follow your dreams and what your heart tells you to do. I wish we could all follow our dreams.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

How terribly wrong the critics are on the movie, "Water for Elephants." It's so nice to see a good character driven story. I think critics must be made up of 17 yo boys who like mindless special effects, extreme nudity and gore. This movie was none of that. It had plots, character development and stuff that 'real' stories are made of. Great movie. There were just a couple of things that were disturbing, one was knowing that the Circus did mistreat animals like that. And, even knowing it was just a movie it was sad seeing it depicted. The one thing that stood out in my mind as being technically incorrect was the way Robert picked up the horse's hoof. Other than that, it was a very good movie definitely worth seeing. I'm not a Pattinson fan but he sure did a good job in this and the haircut made him look more manly and believable. Don't listen to the critics, see the movie if you like a good story.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

better than most nowadays

The storyline was far better than most movies these days. It kept my interest throughout and left me wanting more. However, OMG, they should shoot the cameraman. He needs to know about a neat little invention called a 'tripod.' I was getting dizzy watching the camera zip around, zoom in fast, then slow, then out and all jerky. It wasn't supposed to be a horror flick where they want that kind of camera work. It really distracted from the movie. This was, afterall, supposedly a big budget Hollywood movie and not a guerilla shoot. Certainly they could afford a tripod. My 12 yo niece does a better job with the camera. Camera rules were made for a reason...ugh! Matthew was supposed to be a CA lawyer yet he sounded like he was a good ole' boy from the south. I'm not sure what the director was trying to say with that. Plus, someone should tell Matthew to get his bottom front tooth fixed before he loses it. Anyhow, all the little things aside, it was an okay movie worth seeing.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

'Limitless' reminds me of the premise of an old movie 'Charly' based on a book 'Flowers for Algernon' written by Daniel Keyes. Limitless was pretty good up until the end. The end didn’t follow the storyline of the rest of the story. It seems the writer was so enamored by his knowledge of the stock market that he got lazy on the basis of the story and the ending. I found it very disappointing, as it didn’t explain how the end turned out so dramatically different from the rest of the storyline. Fabulous cinematography, the actor’s eyes were very well lit and made the connection with the characters very good.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The story moved along, not boring, interesting storyline and twists. There were a couple of things that bothered me. One was that there were so many references made to the watch that I thought something was going to come of it such as it having had a tracking device or something as to how they found him. The other was that I know people do change their personalities when experiencing amnesia. however, to become someone totally diffferent wasn't very believable. But, all in all it was much better than a lot of movies out today.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I was told this was such a funny movie that they couldn't stop laughing. So, maybe I had high expectations. Perhaps a 17 year old high school boy would think it was funny. But, me, not so much.

This was one of the better movies I've seen in a long time. The music was good, the acting good, and the story good. Gwyneth had a voice suited for country music. Tim is actually becoming a pretty good actor compared to his first try. I get a little distracted at little inconsistencies such as Garrett's jeans had the tell tale marking of chewing tobacco but he only smoked and never dipped. the ear rings bothered me and the horseshoe necklace facing down letting all the luck run out. But, I did really enjoy the moive.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

There was a glimmer of hope for a compelling story. However, full nudity doesn't make up for a poorly written story.
