Haunting & Gripping

As a woman. I am a big fan of the director Katheryn Bigelow because she knows how to spin a movie full of muscle and tension.
The relationship is this movie is a triangle of 3 soldiers stationed in Iraq whose job is to diffuse IED bombs. Each man approaches their job differently: one is steadfast & by the book, another wavering between committment and despair, and the last a living representation of the bombs he diffuses...reckless, driven, genius.
You spend the entire movie on the edge of your seat waiting for the next explosion.
I find myself still thinking about this film days later and would highly recommend it.
Take a break from the usual summertime movie drivel and check this one out.
