Julie & Julia...a Hoot!

As always, Meryl Street absolutely inhabits her characters. There were times that I had to remind myself that I wasn't really watching Julia Child. Interesting to see the development of the Julia I got to know on public tv and gain insight into her personal life and unflagging optimism that used to radiate from the screen.
Never heard of Julie's blog, but she came across as a delightful character; Amy Adams was excellent in a role that required a whole range of emotions.
Delightful, laugh out loud funny, gorgeous to look at. The recreation of Parisian culture in the post war era was fascinating and engaging.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
