I felt ripped off by the reviews on this and should have dug deeper before wasting 2 hours and $$. Contrived, sloppy, stilted, totally lacking in any subtlety. We laughed out loud at some parts that were supposed to be serious. Unless this is supposed to be a huge joke on the viewing audience, it's a complete failure.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Amazing and sad

The amazing thing in this movie is the proof that Michael was far from sick or drugged. He was 50 and had to be careful with his voice in rehearsal, but he was constantly in motion. Not only did he keep up with the 20-year-olds dancing with him but he outshone them in pure talent and style.
This is also the sad thing. He had more to give and we won't see it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
