Saw this last night with 366 other enthusiastic "just want to be entertained" movie-goers. What a hoot ! Amy Adams gave the performance of her career . . . only problem was . . . she shared the screen with The GENIUS ! Meryl Streep did NOT portray Julia Child . . . she BECAME Julia Child ! ! ! Audience loved this one. Me, too. And its got legs, 'cause I can't wait to see it again. Who knew that food could be the subject of a movie about one of the most entertaining characters in modern American history, Julia Child , the lady with a secret. She may have been a spy for the good guys but it's no secret you'll love this movie.
Creative title but more interested in creating buzz about this movie than the shock and awe of "In Theatre" . Quite frankly, I expected more. More about the subject matter. More about what REALLY goes on over there. I could tell that Director had never been to Iraq/Afganistan. Too much pretty boy and not enough in your face. Sadly, I can not recommend to my movie-going friends who are ALWAYS looking for new and different. Total props to our fighting heroes. Go stand in the corner to screenwriter. Wanted to love it, . . Didn't.
