Beautifully Cast

Great job converting a compelling novel into a compelling movie. The casting was perfect, the performances excellent. Skeeter and Hilly were each exactly as I'd imagined them. And Minnie and Abiliene were brilliant. Cicely Tyson, as Constantine, was a lovely surprise. Understated and perfect. When I saw that it was a 2:17 movie, I wondered when I'd pull out the iPhone to check the time. Never happened. A lovely way to spend a few hours with a great friend and a great movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

There are few reasons to go to the theater anymore. This is one of the few. Masterful performances. Wonderful Nora Ephron script. Human. Intelligent. Flat-out terrific movie. Great night out. Go!
