if you read the book, DON"T GO!

I have never heard of a movie adaptation from a book that COMPLETELY changes the end of the story. Movie was done fairly well. As usual, many of the important details left out. But the most disappointing and shocking change was the end. They completely destroyed the story and the intent of the author for the ending. I sat there in disbelief as I watched a completely different ending from the book. Sad. Bring kleenex if you go - you will need it all the way through the movie. Also, I don't remember the teenage $ex scene in the book as portrayed in the movie. Typical Hollywood - it's just not a good movie without $ex - right?
No, I do not recommend this movie.
