This was much more serious than I expected, but I happen to like Adam Sandler in serious movies, I think he's underrated in serious roles. Because he's a comedian and the name of the movie is Funny People, I think people had the impression this was a comedy. I mean, Adam's character was alone and sick, how funny is that? Not very. I liked how the younger characters began to grow up throughout the movie and in the end Adam's character grew up a little as well.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
