Great Idea

It was an absolutely fabulous idea to show opera from Metropolitan in HD. The cast, the voices, the presentation -- unbelievable.
In my area there was just a hand full of elderly viewers, and the lights did not come back after the show (I am afraid, the mechanic has left before the end of the show). It seems that there is not going to be any more events of this kind, as it doesn't look like a profitable venture. What a shame! Maybe, the idea needed to be better advertised and explained to the public. I cannot believe there would be not enough people to fill the theater in Baltimore area, where the opera company just went bankrupt: the HD Live from Met sounds like an inexpensive alternative.
