True to the books!

I read Beverly Cleary's books as a child and now share them with my six year-old daughter. I was expecting the film to take liberties with the books, but amazingly, the storylines were just as I remembered. My daughter even mentioned on the way home how some scenes were from certain Cleary books. Beezus and Ramona eating gummi bears, Ramona wearing the pj's under her clothes, for instance.
FYI, my daughter adores Selena Gomez, but there is something for the parents, too. The adult cast members are attractive, but also believable in their roles. Great flick!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
