I was very happy with this movie--dark and adult with some great scenes and scenery. I was able to follow it from beginning to end (middle) with no problem. This is in big contrast to the Half Blood Prince, which still needs to be explained. There were a few dragging moments where I think some prudent film editing might have helped and the movie did sort of end abruptly, although it does have the cliff-hanging effect of leaving the viewer very interested in what happens next. Well worth the watching.
We find out who the Half Blood Prince is, but are given no background, nothing to tell us why he is significant to the overall story. Harry is made to look passive or cowardly when Dumbledore is attacked by Bellatrix & her hoods. Draco failed in his mission was he punished for his failure? I didn't need all the footage of hormonal teen stuff--added nothing to the story-it was a distaction. I wanted more of the story of Tom Riddle, but we were given only snippets. We needed more on the Horcruxes, but didn't get that either. I think I detected an error since Dumbledore talked about 7 of them, but at the end Harry and Hermione talked about finding "it." This movie should be re-done with a different director & better screenplay writing.
