Katherine Heigl answers the critics' question: Yes! — she is good enough to carry the movie to box office success. She's believable in the role of a control freak TV producer; just as believable as a luckless romantic in search of Mr. Perfect. Gerard Butler is perfectly cast as a local-access cable channel guy whose over-the-top relationship advice really is The Ugly Truth. The plot is predictable and so are most of the laughs, but you'll leave the theatre impressed with her, impressed with him, and you'll be in a good mood.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
