Bombastic, stilted, poor dialogue, uncompelling and laughably wooden hero... The effects are good, yes, but here the naysayers turned out right. A very poor example of the new action-bludegoning tentpole. The original Superman is Fellini compared to this sort of crud. Don't get it twisted--superhero movies can be great--Spiderman 2, Dark Knight, X-Men: Last Stand, whatever. This is more like Transformers, though. Total onslaught of meaningless destruction and a script that begs to win a Razzie, though it won't.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
