I was a bit surprised by what the movie version left out that was in the book. I was really excited about seeing the attack on hogwarts as well as their was no mention of one of the characters death, that was also in the book. I thought there was too much focus on the sub-plot of Lavender and Ron. Although I do believe this was a transition movie for the characters, moving into the teenage years, there could have been so much more added that was in the book. I know it is impossible to put everything into a movie that was in a book but I really felt that there were a lot of key components left out.
