I really did not have hi expectations of this movie but it really did about put me to sleep. But after movies like Avatar, Star Trek and Inception, the bar has been set pretty high. I can sum up this movie by saying it was Jason Bourne caught in a shallow Matrix themed chick flick, again slipping through great many opponents with advantages that should surely get the best of him. But of course Love prevails....predictably.
The docu-style camera work was occasionally annoying, but the story and performances rang true, as well as the special effects. The ending was tied together well, and even the hint of a sequel made sense. Only recommended if you're looking for brainy, satisfying sci-fi." Definitely no Blockbuster.
Sometimes Hollywood goes overboard and then other times like this one, they don't. What a long movie with a predictable ending. It was so disappointing.
I had to remind myself more than a few times that this movie has spawned from a cartoon designed to sell toys to pre school kids. What's next a remake of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Yeh sure the action is great, but in this day and age it takes more than that. I mean COME ON, ghetto speaking robots from another planet ? ?
