The movies have come a long way since the first, which I also enjoyed despite the "little kid" feel it had. There is still a little bit of that, but the films are definitely getting more sophisticated and dark. It was beautifully made in terms of cinematography. As always, things get left out from the book, but the books are too long to fit everything, so I can forgive that. The movie kept my interest (even though I knew what was going to happen) and did not feel too long.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
