I actually did not want to see this movie to begin with, thinking that it was going to be more of a horror movie along the lines of "The Ring". I quickly got pulled into the story line of the mystery, trying to pick up on little clues here and there. The visuals were quite powerful at times, and there was only one or two places where the editing was a little jumpy. Other than that, the story moved along quickly and smoothly. The end was not a surprise to me, but it was to others in the theater. Overall, a very good movie that I would recommend to others, but not necessarily a "must see". You can wait for the dvd if you don't want to spend for the tickets.

The movie was excellent. Although as a fan of the books I have to admit that I was a little disappointed at some of the things left out of the movie. Truth be told however, everything that was left out was not really needed, unlike some things in earlier movies. Overall, I thought the movie's pace was good, and I never lost interest. Excellent movie going experience, well worth the price of admission.
