My son and I liked this movie, although of course it wasn't nearly as good as the book. I missed that they chose not to have the big battle at the castle at the end. I feel as some others did, that it was setting us all up for the last two movies. I feel it was good to have the plot set up like that, though. I think this movie would be hard for someone who never read the books to enjoy.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
