David Yates and Steve Kloves have done a great job of bringing Ms. Rowling's book to life. There were several scenes which I felt I'd seen before because they were portrayed exactly as I'd pictured the scenes when I read the book.
However, there were some serious cuts made to portions of the story-line: The importance of the scenes involving Greyrir Fenback will be lost on anyone who hasn't read the books. I was also looking very forward to seeing Mr. Yates' interpretation of The Order vs. Death Eater's fight in the tower and was very disappointed when it didn't happen.
Those who have never read the book will enjoy the movie, though, and I will recommend it to friends. :)
