Ferngully with special effects

This is a thinly veiled, shallow movie about the conquest of undeveloped lands for the purpose of taking natural resources. The special effects are good, but the character development and story line are aimed at an eleven-year-old audience. It was cute, but far too long. If you remember Ferngully, a low budget cartoon movie from ? the early 1990's? you'll see far more similarities than differences. Basically this is Ferngully with a big budget.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
