Avatar was a pleasant surprise to me. I expected a movie with some cool special effects, a big battle scene, and no plot... I really though I come out with the movie being an "ok" experience.
I found Avatar to be much more than that.
This movie combined brilliant special effects, with a decent story line (although a bit predictable), and continuous flow of action, to make it an actual experience vs. a couple of hours in a chair. I also enjoyed the fact that the 3-D was not overdone, yet did not seem as an afterthought either.
Truly worth the price of admission.
