Not the book, but great movie

The movie was great and Jennifer Lawrence did a great job as Katniss, as did the other actors. I liked the way they used the commentary booth to address and describe certain things in the game. Of course there are things I feel should have been included or emphasized more. First, I think the whole incident where Peeta provides the loaf of bread could have been emphasized more, especially when Katniss saw the dandelion the next day and knew things were going to be OK. That is such a symbolic and important incident, it should not have been left out. There could definitely have been a bit more character development of Peeta, especially his wit. Gale was practically non-existent, but that's not entirely surprising for this film. They should have also shown Haymitch drunk and falling off the podium. Of course, we could always have used a bit more Cinna.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
