I waited in line to see The Half Blood Prince last night with the expectation that I have had of the other Harry Potter films: its just going to be a highlight reel. Having said that, I think that with that expectation in mind, this film was quite good. After reading some of the other reviews, yes, as a avid fan of the books, it is disapointing in parts, mostly in the films inability to pull of a decent ending. However, the acting, chemistry, and dramatic effects make the film a joy to watch. It was funny, emotional, and intense in parts which made it one of the better Potter films. Overall, I think this is a really good film that had trouble ending itself, similar to its predicessor.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
