I loved this movie! While surfing is the background & the beautiful setting for this story, it is clearly a movie about relationships, Frosty & Jay, Frosty & Brenda, Jay & Kim & Jay & his mother. I loved the interactions & the little moments between each of these characters. This movie made me smile & also brought tears to my eyes. It's definitely a must see & the cinematography is absolutely beautiful. What a great turn for newcomer Jonny Weston as Jay. Gerard Butler broke my heart for Frosty & the scenes w/ Abigail Spencer as his wife Brenda were some of my favorites. Please go see this movie!

Laugh out loud funny

I thought this movie was extremely funny. Yes, it's very raunchy, but there is definitely some truth to the tale. I've actually seen it more than once and I know from the audience reaction that I was not the only one that found it entertaining. The audience laughed throughout and I thought it was telling that much of he laughter was from the men in the audience. This is not your typical rom/com. Katherine Heigl is beautiful and Gerard Butler is charming/handsome. I think they had great chemistry, so what more could you want?
Yes, I recommend this movie.
