For those looking for a strict retelling of Carol's children's classic, look elsewhere--an ingenious combination of the original "Alice" and "Through the Looking Glass", Burton's newest vision bristles with imagination and whimsy. Characters from the books that received little or no attention get their time in the limelight here. The costuming is superb and the performances nuanced. Perhaps not suitable for children, adults who remember this wonderful tale should be delighted, and the IMAX 3D experience is definitely worth the extra cash!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
