Excellent Sci Fi

Avatar was probably the best execution of a Sci Fi theme that I've seen in a movie. A little too much "action" for my taste, but it was able to overcome that with an excellent story and it was able to carry out some the subtleties of the genre that are missing from most current movies. This couldn't have been done even 3 years ago. Cameron deserves kudos for the project. Other than the overabundance of "action" the only drawback is the you've got to see it in IMAX 3D to really see how well its done.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
