I thought overall it was an entertaining movie, people who have not read the books I think will think it is very good. However, as I have read the books I thought it was kind of disappointing.
All the teens in love jokes provided good comic relief throughout the movie, I thought they relied on it a little too much. I also thought the ending was a little anti-climatic. I had heard they were taking the fight scene out of the end, and disagree for the reasons they took it out, seems almost necessary and would have added to the story and the experience.

As I said I was entertained by the movie, but as someone who read the books, it seems like I enjoyed it for the wrong reasons.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
