The movie was really well done, until the very end. While I liked it, I've also read the books. They left out several important scenes and added several scenes that looked important but were never in the book. I think that if you hadn't read the books you'd thoroughly enjoy it. Those who had read the book will say its a good movie but they are disappointed in it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
