The original "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" is one of my 2-1/2 year old daughter's favorites. Fortunately for me, it's also one of my childhood favorites and never fails to bring at least one happy tear to my eye every one of the countless times we've sat down to watch it together (including just moments before I sat to write this review). That said… When I heard that Disney was going to release another Pooh movie, I was NOT looking forward to it. I fully expected the disappointingly digitized, computer generated Pooh that we’ve been forced to accept for years on the Disney Jr. channel. I was enthralled to find that the Disney animation team stepped up and went back to the drawing board (literally) to hand re-animate one of the most beloved Disney characters ever (second only to the main Mouse himself in my mind). In these days of animated films with snappy music and modern references that no one under the age of 25 could possibly understand, it was a refreshing pleasure to see Disney go back to the classic formula that made Pooh the all-ages super star that he is. With a run time of just over 1 hour, it was perfect for the little one’s 1st time in a theater. The animation is artfully done (as only Disney can do), the music ranges from beautiful to grand, and the story line easy enough for the little ones to follow and yet entertaining and funny for their adult escorts. Simply put - This film is an instant family classic and all-around WINNER! Even the closing credits are entertaining (be sure you stick around ‘til the very end for a little bonus).
Yes, I recommend this movie.

While I'm sure this would have been amazing in a regular theater, The Avatar IMAX 3D Experience was absolutely mind blowing. This is easily the best EVER! Never before have 3D effects beef so good that I actually experienced a genuine fear of falling while sitting comfortably in a movie theater. This is not you average half a dozen cheesy props flying at you 3D. It is total immersion into the film. The depth preception is so realistic that the scenery literaly becomes another character in the film. Not since The Empire Strikes Back (when I was like 11 years old) have I left a theater with a rush of adrenaline like this! James Cameron and the folks at IMAX have set the new paradigm.
And I NEVER write reviews for ANYTHING!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
