While the acting was excellent, I was disappointed with the script. Many scenes in the book that I considered crucial were left out, and I was left wondering why a few particular scenes were added in. I'm a huge fan of the books, so I would still recommend the film to others. However, I would have preferred sitting through a four hour movie that stayed true to the book.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
