Not Quite Worth the Effort...

After having just completed the sixth book, I went to the opening of the movie last night. While I enjoyed it overall, I was a bit bothered by the many discrepancies between the book and the film. I suppose that's often how it goes when books are adapted for the movies, but I thought there wore more changes than there should have been. Some parts were quite funny and others truly frightening, but I felt that some of the crucial action was missing. I would recommend it more readily to someone who has not read the book and won't keep a tally of discrepancies as I did. And if I could do it over again, I would not have gone through the effort of dragging myself to the theater in the middle of the night.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
