Great Story-Director Pairing

Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite books and I love Tim Burton as a director. I thought that the pairing was fantastic. I do wish, however, that they would have taken an extra 20 minutes developing the story and fleshing out the characters. The actors seemed to be taken over by their costuming and CGI. Helena Bonham Carter was brilliant; Johnny Depp totally let his costume do the work and phoned it in.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
