Although I did enjoy the movie, I was greatly disappointed. I know that this was a long story with much detail, so there wasn't a great way to condense the book's material down to a reasonably timed movie. I think, however, that they should have considered making this book into two movies. By trying to briefly touch base on so many key points, I feel that they ultimately ended up with a choppy movie that did little to convey the emotions, acting or story that it should have been capable of. I would tell a friend to see the movie if they were a fan, but to not expect too much. Hopefully the double installments of The Deathly Hallows will allow for a more complete story.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
