I thought Hilary Swank did a great job; she was Amelia. The last scenes with her knowing they were lost were incredibly powerful. However, overall, the movie was a big disappointment to me and my husband. Script was weak and the direction was not up to what we expect from Mira Nair. I read one of the books the movie was based on, East to the Dawn by Susan Butler, several years ago and would highly recommend it.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
